Dear Customers,
Camcraft will hopefully be relocating to Western North Carolina in the fall. Both of our daughters live in Asheville and we have a new Grandson so we feel those are good reasons to go. We have many good friends in Maryland that we will miss, but no family. We have visited Ashville frequently during the last 14 years or so and we feel Western North Carolina will be a great place to live and do business. Our New York and Connecticut customers will still be 2 days away by UPS. Unfortunately our New Jersey and Pennsylvania customers will also be 2 days instead of 1 day. Western Virginia and North Carolina customers should be 1 day instead of 2. We have a great place picked out in Arden that has a shop on the property. We hope it does not sell before we can get a contract on our house in Easton. David will move to North Carolina with us. This will allow us to hit the ground running. Plans are to make the move between September and December during our slower time.
Our boat is finally ready to go now. The new paint job is complete, hardware reinstalled and the engine is tuned and waiting for the water. It really looks good with its pale yellow hull and white deck. We painted the cockpit as well. The new name is “Fahr Frum Wurkin.” Weather kept us ashore recently but we are ready to go. We spent last spring, summer & fall working on it so now we will finally get to use it again. Be sure to rethink any thoughts you may have about doing your own painting on your boat.

Summer hours
Don’t forget our new Friday hours. We close at 2:00 pm on Fridays. Be sure that you notify your people that need to know this. We work a few extra hours other days to compensate for the lost time. Since most customers want their parts in hand by Friday this lets us do this more often. It will also give our employees a few extra hours on the weekends to beat heavy traffic out of town or get to the bank.
Polished lifters
The popularity of our polished lifters is continues to increase. We get a consistent 2-3 ra finish and that reduces wear significantly. Try some today!
Antique and Factory Performance cams
Our orders for our Antique Performance cams have increased significantly as well. Be sure to keep us in mind when you are rebuilding that old Nailhead Buick or 409 Chevy. We can give you significantly more power while maintaining a nice smooth idle. Of course we can accommodate those who want a little lopey idle as well. They are ground on new castings. Check out our catalog on our web site under Antique Cams, You’ll be surprised at what we offer. We also have a small catalog of Factory Performance cams as well. It includes many cams not offered in the aftermarket. ZDDPluss
ZDD+ is the proper additive to provide the right kind of scuff protection needed for flat tappet cams. It has the proper combination of Zinc and Phosphorus to give the scuff protection equivalent to the old SF oil (Zinc alone doesn’t do it) while retaining the improved quality of the newer oils. It should be part of every oil change in all flat tappet engines and of course is critical in flat tappet race applications. Sales have been brisk, satisfaction levels are high, & we have it in stock, ready to ship. Order yours today!
Winners
Rain has put a damper on much of the racing along the East Coast for the last Month or so. Hopefully it will dry out soon and we can get back to business.
On the drag scene, Steve Drummond of Drummond Race Cars picked up a win at US-13 Dragway in his Ford powered dragster in the Super Pro Class. A week later he won in the Drag Radial class driving his wife’s Mustang.
Mike Pettit of Pettit Racing Engines, New Milford, CT reports that Keith Rocco had 2 wins in his #57 SK Modified car at Waterford Speedbowl.
Remember the thing that sets us apart from the competition is our commitment to help you go faster. We don’t want to have to get new customers for each cam we produce. We depend on repeat business and referrals. We can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear but we can help upgrade your racing program no matter what level you are.
